- 1Sit at the chair in your normal working posture, patient reclined as usual.
- 2Look at the spot you work in most often — the patient's mouth.
- 3Have someone measure from the outer corner of your eye to that spot.
- 4Round to the nearest half inch. Most clinicians land between 13 and 20 inches.
